Opening Day at Moonlight Basin: Montana Ski Resort
We are pleased to announce that those dreaded days between Closing Day and Opening Day of ski season are coming to an end. This weekend, the ski season has official begun at Moonlight Basin starting on Friday, December 9 for season pass holders and then for the general public starting Saturday, December 10. To heighten the anticipation, conditions for Opening Day are shaping up to be perfect; sunny with a high near 28°F and some fresh snowfall in the forecast for the next few days!
If you’re planning on joining us on Friday or Saturday or the entire weekend, here’s a quick rundown on which lifts are expected to be open and a few awesome activities that will be going on throughout each day.
- For the lifts, the Derringer and the Six Shooter are expected to be up and running, both of which are located in the Madison Village Base Area. Theses lifts provide access to all types of runs including; Greens, blues, blacks. You can also take a ride through our Freestyle Forest or the Pony Park .
- In addition to the ski & ride, we will be hosting some fun and festive activities to fill you with some of that holiday spirit. On Friday, there will be a Christmas Stroll at the Meadow Village Town Center and on Saturday, gather the whole family for Pancakes with Santa at the Simkins Hallin Showroom.
