New Trails and Terrain Park at Moonlight Basin
Moonlight Basin is pleased to announce the creation of several new runs in the Iron Horse area for the 2011-12 Season! Moonlight has focused its forest management efforts around Iron Horse over the last couple of years, which has resulted in some wonderful new glade skiing. Above is a clip from our new trail map that shows these new runs, with names like Woodward, Hollywood, Dogwood, Bear Cat Gully, Sticks & Stones, and others. These runs should be high on your list of first track options on a powder day.
Also new on Iron Horse is a stash park for the kids. The “Freestyle Forest” offers tight terrain with lots of fun features and whoop de doo’s. Look on the trail map for this new kid – friendly park on the right side of Powder River Run.
